Quake Champions PTS to show player counts in matches and queues
SyncError has shared a preview of a new player activity display coming to the Quake Champions PTS. For each playlist, the menu will show how many players are already in matches, how many are searching on the user's selected data centers and how many are searching worldwide.

The counters will give players a better idea of how active a playlist is before they join the queue. They cover the playlist as a whole, so Quick Play will not show separate figures for Team Deathmatch, Clan Arena and its other modes. The worldwide queue number also does not represent everyone currently online. According to SyncError, the feature was coded around a year ago, but could not be enabled until the supporting infrastructure was operational.
Recent version 1.31 PTS builds have also removed more Store and Battle Pass references, revised the item layout on Lockbox, added a warning before dropped items disappear and expanded the information shown to spectators in Clan Arena and Slipgate.
At the time of writing, the new counters had not yet been added to the public PTS build. No date has been announced for version 1.31 to reach the live game.
According to Steam Charts, Quake Champions averaged 202 concurrent Steam players over the last 30 days and reached a peak of 444.
