A major DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages titled "Revelations" has been released 14 months after the launch of the base game. The expansion is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $20, while owners of the game's deluxe edition receive access at no additional charge.
Following a betrayal that leaves him heavily wounded, the Doom Slayer finds himself trapped in Purgatory. The campaign requires players to navigate the secrets of this realm, find new allies, and defeat new enemies to escape. Developers estimate the story content lasts between 10 to 12 hours. The expansion updates the combat system with a new spear weapon, which allows the Slayer to grapple toward enemies and move quickly across arenas. Additionally, the DLC introduces "Purgatory 3.0" mode, featuring new maps, weapons, enemies, and expanded customization options.
