Blood Run, a Quake III Arena mod that brings gameplay elements from Quake Champions, has received a new update. This build marks dm6 (Blood Covenant) as a full release. dm1 (Toxic Waste) received another round of tweaks aimed at matching Quake Champions more closely (layout/positions), along with lighting and visual updates. dm14 (Venom) also gets a small adjustment near the Railgun area to better match the original layout. The biggest set of changes is for acid3 (Shaman&Dragon), which has been expanded and heavily reworked, with the authors asking for balance feedback. For testing, two PTS servers are available: SPB and MOSCOW.


Maps:
  • Blood Covenant: RELEASE
  • Toxic Waste:
    • Arches moved closer to the original and widened to match Quake Champions angles/lines
    • Rocket Launcher moved to match its Quake Champions position
    • Health on the “banana area” moved closer to the wall (as in Quake Champions)
    • Slightly increased the height of the invisible ceiling and the upper part of the map
    • Lighting reworked (intensity and lamp sizes adjusted)
    • Fog color and the swamp “lava” texture changed
    • Higher resolution for several textures (walls/decals), some textures replaced
    • Replaced a jump pad decoration element from Quake III
  • Venom:
    • Removed the vertical ladder below Railgun; the area was adjusted to match the original
  • Shaman&Dragon:
    • Expanded and heavily reworked; balance feedback is welcome
