First and foremost, admins are here to maintain the context of the server and help PlusForward users. This includes answering questions, removing toxic users, helping out fresh spawns, and running community events. Readers that take an active role on PlusForward are often granted extra access to help with these tasks.
For more information about the different userlevels see Plus Forward - Userlevels.

This site provides some basic rules for every user with Admin access:

Respect
The most important rule about being an admin on PlusForward, is that it does not make you more important than other readers. Admins must not use or abuse their access to the site for personal reasons. If moderating a certain thread puts you in that position then simply don't do it - leave the moderation to someone else.

Enjoyment
The second most important rule is to not treat this site as work. You have been granted extra access to this site just to give you extra options in case you need them. Don't change the way you use the website, keep doing whatever it is you enjoy about ESReality. If you happen to come across a juicy bit of news, then go ahead and add it. If you spot some cool demos that need to be approved then hit the approve button. If someone is swearing and causing trouble on a thread you're reading, then you can do a little moderation. Don't go looking for work, there are enough admins to help out without making it a chore!

Moderation
This site would like to see the Posting Guidelines adhered to. Currently almost all users on the site are acting sensibly, but unfortunately gamer-language is a bit strong. We would like this site to be universal to gamers no matter their age, so strong language is being edited out where possible. It is slightly intrusive to edit other people's posts, but we need to keep this site clean as a good base for advertising and sponsorship by the gaming industry. Moderation should only apply to maintain the Posting Guidelines, not to supress opinion!

File Approval
Files that are uploaded by users of PlusForward must be approved before they can be publicly downloaded. This is done to avoid inappropriate files being made available on the website. As user admins you have access to approve files that have been uploaded. Please try to ensure that the file you are approving is appropriate.
Please check that a file is necessary before approving it. Also if the file is an image, please make sure it is an appropriate size to fit the page, and also the filesize is not too large. If you feel up to it, you can edit the image and resize/jpeg compress.

Polls
Site admins and above can add and edit polls. Polls can be set to anonymous which means only admins can see who voted which options. Polls can also be either single or multi-choice with the option to limit the amount of picks available.

Matches
Match results should always be entered as the map wins, so a 2-1 result means 2 maps won vs 1 map and should never be frags. Map specific frag scores should be added via the detailed result set options. Usually a match only needs one result set which can contain multiple maps. Games that could require multiple result sets can be Double elimination Grand Finals were the player or team coming from the lower bracket has to win 2 best of 3 sets.

Forfeit games should be indicated with a "-1" in the map score for the player or team that forfeit.

Betting
Every match post has a betting attached to it. When adding a match the poster can lock the betting which will prevent anyone from placing bets and allows the poster or another admin to still set starting odds at a later point (useful for when the poster is still unsure about fair starting odds). If the betting is unlocked users can place bets on matches until the start date set for the match. Once the match was updated with a winner the betting is also closed even if the set starting date hasn't arrived yet. After a winner has been set the bets need to be cashed by an admin, after they have been cached all users who placed a bet are informed about the result and are credited their winnings. A draw as a result will refund all bets and close the betting when cashed.

For matches which have been rescheduled the betting can be reset which refunds all bets and deletes them from the system, allowing new bets to get placed.
