psygib
psygib is yet to take part in a duel LAN, but after winning Quake Open League #4 against DaHanG, and getting a third place in Quake Open League #6), there will be a lot of eyes on the American player to see if he can unleash his full potential on the main stage.
cnz
The Estonian talent has been very active in Quake Champions so far, but hasn't been getting the desired results. However, cnz started his PGL LAN with a bang, as he took k1llsen by surprise in his first game. Later on he also managed to beat both Spart1e and Av3k and ended up qualifying to groups. cnz definitely built up some hype around himself for DreamHack Winter 2018 and seems hungry for more.
agent
agent has been a very solid Quake player for a long time, and while it's widely known he has the skills to be able to challenge the greatest players on his best days, his results in Quake Champions need a lot more consistency to move up the ranking. After getting to the group stage in PGL, having a close series vs rapha and beating vengeur, maybe he's finally finding that consistency? DreamHack Winter 2018 will tell.
Av3k
Despite getting a very good result in the start of Quake Champions, top 8 at QuakeCon 2017, Av3k has been struggling with the duel side of the game, a big contrast to how he's been performing in the team tournaments. He got a group finish at PGL, and whereas for most players that would be a positive result, for someone with such a history as Av3k, it's hard not to expect more from him. Still a very cherished players by the fans. Can Av3k find his rhythm in duel again at DreamHack Winter 2018?

The only Canadian player on the list, cha1n has had a pretty positive string of online results, which include a first place in Quake Open League #1, three second places and two third places in later editions. Despite being present at QuakeCon 2018 and PGL, he's still looking for a good result in on LAN, so maybe DreamHack Winter 2018 will be exactly that.
